Hi, I'm Luke, a multidisciplinary designer currently based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Product design is my area of expertise and passion, with a focus around user-centric and interactive products.GET IN TOUCH!
Alveo is an at-home photobioreactor and cultivation tank which allows consumers to grow and harvest fresh, flavour free, and ready to consume spirulina.
Customisable headphones for children, that provide the freedom to clip and change the design to suit their ever growing style and personality.
A baby monitoring system that uses new technologies and simple interactions to track the heart-rates of children while they sleep, giving the parents reassurance through highlighting physical activity and keeping an emotional connection to their baby.
Always starting with a 'why'. Without first purpose and vision, a product cannot progress. My process starts with reason, then follows with 'how' and finally the 'what'. This staged process paired with my range of skills both digitally and physically guarantees success.
Seemingly simple products. Products that are intuitive, easy to understand, and interactive. Something that can have a positive impact on a persons day.
Striving to be at the crest of the design and innovation wave. Finding new technologies, trends, and materials. Aiming to be one step ahead of the rest.
A successful product should be inspired, intuitive, and inviting. Simply put, you should know what to do with it and how to use it as soon as you look at it.
When you understand the people you are designing for, and strive to look at things from their perspective, the solutions that you develop and ideas you put forward, will be embraced.
I try to incorporate this process into my user-centred design approach. I always aim to have a feel for consumer interactions as well as designing products which have real world applications. These two crucial visions allow me to bring a fresh and innovative eye to each new project.
Throughout my studies I have developed my skills while working in some exciting design agencies.
I gained relevant industry experience from my time at Studio Sophisti in Amsterdam, a connected product design studio combining digital and physical; and Deadgood Ltd in Newcastle and London, a British furniture company focused around eclectic furniture which is designed for commercial projects and influential brands worldwide.
The experience I took from these two internships has shaped how I approach each new project. With every piece of advice or technique directing each stage of my design process.

My main focus and passion is industrial design with a focus around products. I have had experience working in a furniture design company and I have untaken projects which have allowed me to work in other areas such as UI/UX. I am always open to exploring other areas across the design spectrum.
Having studied for the past four years in Newcastle, I have recently relocated back to St Albans in Hertfordshire. However, London is only an eighteen minute train journey, so that is a huge bonus. I am also willing relocate elsewhere in the UK or abroad if the right opportunity was to present itself.
